On behalf of the Illinois IASIU board we want to start off by thanking all of you who attended all of our annual seminar in Addison, Illinois. We want to thank Dr. Kevin Russeau, the chiropractic physician, Jeffrey D. Zwirn, The Alarm Expert who was followed by Mary R. Rossi, RN, CCM, LNCC, Senior case manager and legal nurse consultant providing nurse liability reviews, medical bill audits.  Then finally we had Geoffrey R. Branch, CFE, A Senior Investigator with the Special Investigations Unit of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, also with Mr. Branch, Patrick Burke of the Robison Group, Investigative Solutions, who discussed Shell Companies and Hidden payroll. As always, we hope that you are able to bring back as much good information from this presentation and will be able to tell those who are not able to attend what new information is being passed on regarding our daily battle against insurance fraud.

We are excited that on Friday September 23, 2016 we will host our annual golf outing and this The Illinois Chapter of IASIU will hold the 23rd Annual Golf Classic on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 at Bloomingdale Golf Club, 181 Glen Ellyn Road, Bloomingdale, Illinois. This is a great opportunity to network with other professionals within the SIU community.

Continental breakfast will be served and registration will begin at 6:15 A.M. The team scramble competition will begin at 7:05 A.M. SHARP with a shotgun start. Lunch will be served at approximately 12:30 P.M. to both golfers and non-golfers. A short program will follow with team awards and door prizes. We encourage securing a foursome to compete in the outing. The cost is $80 per golfer/$320 per team. This includes a continental breakfast, green fees, gas cart, lunch. Everyone will also be entered into the drawing for numerous additional prizes! This is the 17th year that we are hosting this golf outing as a charity event. We will have several contests and raffles throughout the day benefiting Misericordia Homes (misericordia.org) and Camp “I Am Me “ – Illinois camp for young burn survivors.

This is YOUR Chapter and you have a dynamite Board serving you. I know that you all will continue to support the Chapter as we move ahead in the coming years and continue to grow and serve our members.  Thanks to all of you for all that you have done and will continue to do..

As a reminder, please mark your calendars for the meeting dates shown on the website so you are sure not to miss a meeting. Keep in mind that our bi-monthly meetings are held in January, March, September and November on the third Friday of the month, that the Annual Seminar which will be in June this year and followed by our annual Golf Outing this year to be held in September at the Bloomingdale Golf Course.  The Board hopes to see all of our members at the meetings.

Thanks to ALL who make this Chapter the success that it has been and for your support as we go forward. It is YOUR involvement that makes this Chapter what it is.
