Dear Membership,

A lot has happened since my last newsletter. We had our 8-hour live burn that we did jointly with WI IASIU where we burned 3 property cells and two cars. The feedback received was positive and this will be something we will considering having again to benefit both the property and auto side of our membership in the future. Our last training was done in partnership with Joseph Buckley with John E. Reid and Associates and again I heard positive feedback on the training as well and there was an excellent turnout. I hope that you found some value in the Reid training and have been able to apply it to your investigations.

Our last training is scheduled for November 21st from 9am to 11am where we will hear from NICB Special Agent Christopher Kluz regarding ongoing trends with non-emergency medical transportation companies, forgery trends and more, along with Eric W. Moch, Esq., Anatomy of a Modern Medical Fraud Claim: Interventional Pain Management and Durable Medical Equipment. Please stick around after the training as we will be having a small business meeting including our annual election.

I know everyone is extremely busy and I would like to personally thank the Illinois Chapter Board and all our members for making the training schedule this year a success and we will continue that positivity as we move into 2025.

Sincerely,

Brian A. Bilderback
IL IASIU President
